You surely have heard this a gazillion times: “Safety first.” When you first started riding your bicycle your mom might have used it as a well-meant warning. When you were in the school gym and your instructor yelled at you for climbing on top of the equipment. When your driving instructor sat you down for flooring the gas pedal.
It’s always “Safety first.”
But it’s never safety first. As when safety comes first, comfort and fear rules. And there is nothing worse than that for every entrepreneurial endeavor.
Leap into action, overcome resistance, put yourself out there. Consider safety — but don’t put it first (unless your endeavor includes the risk to loss of life!).
Another lesson taught me by the incredible Rick Schmitz.
