Recently I discussed startups with a friend of mine who pointed out that startups are bound (somewhat) by the laws of thermodynamics — specifically the first law which states that “energy can be neither created nor destroyed. However, energy can change forms, and energy can flow from one place to another.”
The simple truth is: You can only get out of startup what you’re willing to put into it. The only chance to get the flywheel started is to invest energy into the system. There are no shortcuts or free rides — only (rewarding) hard work to your way to success.
Don’t be fooled by the smiling faces on your favorite startup blog — startups are hard work. Which makes them insanely rewarding — if you’re willing to put the work in.
