Jessica nails it (no pun). As a founder, employee or contributor — figure out what you’re good at and focus on that. It is your job, and as a founder your duty, to provide value to your organization. The most value you drive doing something you’re truly good at.
Be careful though: Sometimes the things we’re passionate about are not the things we’re good at and vice versa… I might be passionate about writing code but am a lousy coder (true story).
Surround yourself with people and build systems allowing you to maximize your value for your organization.
