The Essence of Your Business

Regularly I find myself in the midst of discussions about business models, go-to-market strategies, customer acquisition plans and growth hacking tips & tricks. In those moments running a business sounds complex and complicated. A million things need to be taken care of, a gazillion factors need to be considered and the outcome is still mostly a mystery.

And yet — the essence of your business can be summarized in three simple sentences:

Trust that if you do a good job and the product is good, people will like it. Trust that if they like it, they will buy it. If you’re competent operationally, you will make money.

It’s that simple. Seriously.

Focus on building a product people love and build a sound, simple to understand business around it. With that you’re golden.
