You Better Be Fast

I let you in on a secret: Most likely your idea isn’t unique. Your technology is good, not amazing. You are surrounded by numerous companies doing similar things. They are bigger and better financed. Google, Facebook, Apple or Microsoft could do what you do.

And all that doesn’t matter.

You are three guys and gals in a garage. You are fast. You don’t have meetings — you shout stuff across the room. You talk to your customers daily. You can turn on a dime. You are years away from battling with the mythical man month. In the time it takes any of your big competitors to figure out the internal reporting structure of the project, you released version 2.1 of your product.

Speed is your advantage. RUN!
