After sending a friend an article I read on the under-appreciated importance of marginal gains (more on that soon), he pulled the following quote out of the article and sent it back to me:
“It’s so easy to overestimate the importance of one defining moment and underestimate the value of making better decisions on a daily basis. Almost every habit that you have — good or bad — is the result of many small decisions over time.”
I missed this line in the article. I couldn’t agree more. Re-read this line. Again and again. And again. It’s that important.
Every small decision counts. Sweat the details. No excuse.
